Autumn is nearly here. Autumn is nearly here. REPEAT, Autumn is nearly here!
British Summer, I’m sorry. It’s not me, it’s you. We had some great times but you’re not the one. My true love is about to come back into my life and it’s time you moved on.
Autumn- what took you so long?!
As 2016 is all about Great Britain here at GIPD, here is our chance to share one of our yearly traditions with you. Each year we make the trip to Tetbury in Gloucestershire (England) to visit one of the top spots to experience Autumn in the UK; Westonbirt, The National Arboretum.
It’s the perfect location for an afternoon of snapping those wonderful Autumn colours. You know, those colours that make landscapes pop and those piles and piles of bright leaves you can kick like your practicing for your own rom-com.
There are two areas to explore, the Arboretum which features a beautiful variety of tress that come to life during the season and the forest trail which leads you through towering woodlands which are just screaming ‘adventure’! The forest is also dog friendly so if you’re dog mad like us, you’ll find plenty of cute pooches running around here too.
Be prepared for long queues to enter during weekends in Autumn, particularly when the festive season begins and the magical Enchanted Christmas light show arrives back into our lives.
To get the most out of your visit, plan to arrive early and try to visit on a week day if possible. However, don’t let this put you off as the queues are totally worth the visit and at just a few pounds per person to enter it’s one of the best things you can spend your money on during Autumn in the Southwest!
Without a doubt, the dreamiest of places to explore this Autumn- so what are you waiting for?!
