You might have seen my last post when I talked about the Love Me Beauty Box that I received in December. I signed up last year for a year’s worth of boxes – they had an amazing deal on if you subscribed for 12 months and I think I’d just been paid so was feeling a bit too ‘spendy’ for my own good – happens way too often! Anyways, I’ve been going on and ordering my monthly boxes and if I’m honest some have been better than others – the products available for you to choose varies and some months it’s q bit lacking in my opinion. But this month, there were some really great options to choose from, so I thought I’d share with you the items I chose.
The past two boxes have come with the cutest little quote cards, and this box’s card was super cute. The box also comes with my beauty products in the nicest little linen bag – perfect as a little makeup bag for weekends away. The products I chose this month were:
MONU Micro Exfoliant
I love a good exfoliation and so thought I would give this one a try. My usual go-to exfoliant is The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasian and I couldn’t wait to see how this one compared. It’s a really similar consistency, with super tiny exfoliating beads that makes your skin feel amazingly cleansed after using it. The scent is also really nice, though, if I’m honest, I definitely prefer the orange-y, zingy smell of the Microdermabrasian – it makes you feel super fresh and awake in the mornings.
CAILYN Cosmetics Gelux Eyebrow Gel in ‘Cocoa’
As far as my eyebrows go, I tend to just use a pencil, but have seen so many bloggers do great things with brow gels, so wanted to give this one a try. Unfortunately, the colour I ordered is way too dark for me – the picture looked right, but when it’s on, it’s much darker and makes me look a little weird. I think in the right shade though, this could be a really good product – I loved how well it went on and how precise it made my eyebrows look, even if they were a bit too dark.
CAILYN Cosmetics Dizzolv’it Makeup Cleansing Balm
For some reason when I ordered this, I expected a creamier formula, but this product is actually closer to The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter. I actually really liked this though – this would be great for people with sensitive skin as it removes all makeup, whilst being really super gentle on your skin.
Lipcote Original Lipstick Sealer
Finally, the Lipcote Sealer is soemthing that I’ve known about for years, but never actually tried. I’ve recently been wearing lipstick a little more, so thought I’d give it a try to see if it does help my lippie to stay in place. I haven’t tried it yet though (bad blogger!), but will let you know how I get on with this when I do try it!
