Review: Frederiksberg Mansion B&B, Copenhagen

Out of all the hotels/guest houses/apartments we have stayed in over the past few years, Frederiksberg Mansion is one of the most memorable- in a good way!

Sarah and Isabel In The Mansion

The hotel is located in suburban Copenhagen and is a wonderful way to experience a different side to the city. The main road is lined with white picket fences and brightly colored houses. The area is quiet but you’ll find the lively strip about a 15 minute walk away which has plenty of places to eat and drink. There is also a lovely park only 5 minutes down the road which has a great outdoor market.

The building itself is grand and the decor is to ‘die for darling’! Any fans of vintage glamour or shabby chic will be in heaven…

There is also a wonderful garden and a huge roof terrace, which for us was the absolute highlight. It’s a great place to sit on a summer’s day and enjoy a glass of vino!

The Rooms vary in size and most are with a shared bathroom. Now, normally ‘shared bathrooms’ do put us off, there is nothing more annoying than having to wait to have a shower in the morning! However, we had no problems during our stay and despite the fact the mansion was full there was no point where we had to wait to use it.

Wonderful Bathtub In The Shared Bathroom!

The bedrooms were sweet, comfortable and we were provided with towels, glasses, hairdryer and coffee and tea facilities were on offer to all guests in the hallway.

The Seating Area In Our Room

We feel it’s really important for us to highlight how incredibly friendly the owners are. Not only were they extremely helpful but they were really interesting, lovely people and we can’t wait to go back to stay at the Mansion again one day!
If you’re looking for a ‘home from home’ when in Copenhagen then book your stay with Frederiksberg Mansion.
