New Year Fitness Essentials: Best of the sales

As is typical for so many of us, as the New Year approaches, I get pretty excited about the prospect of getting my fitness levels in order. Christmas is always an amazing time, but by the 28th December, I’m always starting to feel pretty crap – too many glasses of Baileys and daily gorging on chocolates make me start to crave fresh air and exercise. And oddly enough, cravings for vegetables… Surely that’s not just me though?

Anyways, this year I am SET on getting myself back in shape. Over the past few years, my fitness levels have drooped hideously, but this year, with my new job writing all about health and weight loss as a bit of inspiration, I’m hoping my plans to get fit will actually come to fruition. No pressure or anything!

One of the things I love to do, that help me to feel more inspired fitness-wise, is to get myself stocked up with some lovely new fitness gear. There’s something about shiny new exercise gear that gets me geared up to actually go out on these cold mornings instead of staying cosy on the sofa, and luckily, this year there seem to be loads of sales about, making it even easier and cheaper to get hold of some lovely new items.

Here are my favourites that I’ve found so far this year:

gym wear for 2015

1. Sweaty Betty Bakasana Yoga Vest£60£42

2. Nike Pro Tank Vest£17.99 £12

3. Adidas ClimaLite Workout Leggings£24.99 £13.50

4. Nike Training Hoodie£39.99 £29

5. Nike Kaishi Running Trainers£60 £41.99

I’m pretty poor after spending so much before Christmas, but with some pretty good deals on at places like Sports Direct, I think I’m going to treat myself to a few little things to help me feel fit-spired. And I’m almost 100% set on buying those Nikes – my old ones are getting pretty tired-looking and these are too nice to not buy, let’s be honest!

I hope you like my picks – what items are on your fitness wish list?
