Wow, that last month went seriously quickly – I’m in a little bit of shock looking back and remembering everything thing I did in June and how fast it all seemed to go by! It was a great month though – one that I’d been looking forward to all year, for a couple of reasons…
Firstly, at the start of June, two of my friends got married – and I was lucky enough to be asked to a bridesmaid. It was a beautiful day – the location was gorgeous, with stunning views, and great weather – and I think everyone had a really great time. Their ceremony was held at the gorgeous Banwell Castle (which, if you live in the West Country, is definitely somewhere you need to visit), and it really started my month off on a high!
Secondly, just a couple of days after the wedding, me and Lee headed off on a little trip to Portugal to visit my grandparents. They’ve lived out there for 9 years, and we were pretty excited to go out there and spend some quality time with them and explore some of rural Portugal. I won’t give away too much, as I’ll be sharing all of the details of my trip on here over the next couple of weeks – stay tuned!
Lastly, the end of June has been fairly hectic – getting back to work and starting a new venture (very exciting news that I’ll share with you all at a later stage!) meant I’ve been a bit busy! I’ve also been working hard at eating more healthily, and exercising more – as you may have read about in my GIPD Health Challenge! I’ve found some really great blogs and books that I’ve been loving when it comes to making healthier choices, but one that I’ve found really useful is Madeleine Shaw’s Get The Glow. Her whole ethos is so inspiring, and it’s full of loads of really great recipes that are simple, easy to follow and really tasty. I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking to eat more healthily!
