Cream Tea At Banwell Castle
What girl doesn’t love playing ‘a lady’ of the manor (I blame Downtown!)? When a friend of mine suggested cream tea at our local castle I jumped at the chance to enjoy two of my favourite things; Pretty places and a cuppa tea!
The castle we visited was the small, privately owned Banwell Castle in Banwell, Somerset. This gothic style castle offers incredible views over the surrounding countryside and is home to beautiful wildlife- including it’s own peacocks.
It really is a lovely castle with wonderful grounds but it could do with an update and some maintenance to the interiors and woodwork. However, it does provide a pleasant afternoon trip and as you can see the cream tea is rather generous- providing scones the size of your head and an endless pot of tea!
Cream tea costs around £4.50 p.p and you are free to wander through the gardens and enjoy the views.
It’s always nice to enjoy local places- where would you recommend in your area?
